Just listening to 8/14/99. Hot band, great musical conversation and jamming. No disrespect intended by not capitalizing Kimock, just bad typing.

Strong vocals have never been the "jam-band" strong suit. They never get anyone I'd listen to outside of the astounding instrument musicianship.

yes, that mid April run at the Warfield in '99 with Steve, Paige and Trey was quite quite amazing. I just feel that Lesh and Kimock jammed so beautifully together. Molo is a monster as well.

Yeah, but the august run replaces Paige + Trey with SCI, which isn't as magical, IMO. Not bad, just not on that same mind blowing level.

That series of shows is one of the main reasons I got so deep into guitar...went to sleep to those tapes for a whole summer, beautiful stuff.

This entire show is in video format on YouTube. I watched the entire thing about amonth ago, and it has the soundboard mix! Great show, and great music. That version of Tangled Hangers is, "Off duh hook," as the kids say these days.

I have seen Steve share the stage with many other killer players of guitar. He ALWAYS sounds better than anyone else on the stage.

The very first song the very first night on 4/15/99 was a 33 minute Viola Lee Blues!

Incredible! Trey and Kimock make room for each other like the pros that they are. These 3 days (4/15,16,17/99) are still to this day my favorite post Jerry dead offshoot performances.

33 minute Viola broken into 4 videos. Gotta hear the whole thing, text book slow build to fire ass jammin'! Collective group improv at its finest. It's like walking through different sections of a incredibly landscaped park.
