Anyone have experience with kingsley pedals?
see a ton of them on the boards around here
Haven't tried one but for what it's worth the pictures of the gutshots are very very impressive IMO
Call or email Simon for a recommendation with your particular setup. You won't be sorry - I currently have a Harlot, Page, Bard, and Minstrel v.2 - I didn't care for the tones of the Jouster or Jester as much as the ones I currently have - but they may sound great in your rig. The first tube- based overdrives that sounded good to me.
I couldn't be happier with my Squire Top Boost. And will get a Constable in the future.
You might want to try the Search function. There are over 5 pages of threads on this brand.
Jester - greatest OD pedal ever built
Squire - very cool EQ boost
Jouster - crunchy, 80's marshall-esque crunch on two channels (one for hendrixy plexi crunch, one for rhoadsy ripping over the top fuzzy distortion)
Minstrel - versatile uber-boutique OD and Distortion. pick your amp, it will emulate it somehow.
Do a search. Kingsley's are wonderful. There is no better. And Simon is the man.
anyone tried the constable?
I'm looking for an overdrive that I can boost for solos, deciding between the Jester or the Constable.
I'm playing through a PRRI (for now)
Agreed. I have not found anything better than the Jester.
