    Thoughts?

Thinking that "your tone" resides in some pedal or amp is totally lame. Talking about music in terms of "your tone" or the "the tone in my head" is the sign of totally musical and playing immaturity.

Huh? Details? I almost traded my Klon this week because I'm short on Ca$h and figured I could always get another one. They are not going to be built anymore?

i would have thought many of you would be pleased to hear this (to a degree).
as i mentioned in the other thread, that means the klone market will open up.

cheap klones with no wait and no hype.

Apparently so, although I'd like to read a response from BF.

Not that I care about the klon but perhaps you should reflect on immaturity in general with your post. Perhaps you could also post some clips of your mature playing through your gorilla amp and squier strat. Or just your pre worn 60s CS strat that you would rather pay someone else to wear in for you.

If I had to guess, he is probably having trouble getting the cases again. I spoke with him a few months ago and he said he has enough parts to build the circuit for years. But not too long ago he was having trouble getting cases. Maybe that happened again???

I really disagree with the OPs invisible text.

If everything sounded the same and the only variable was the player, then there wouldn't be a market for any of this stuff.

I sound fine without my Klon, but I sound better with it. It gets my edge-of-breakup and overdrive tones right in the sweet spot where I want them.

Whoo.......I cam this close to Trading my Klon for around $350-400 Value this week to EDROCKS. When ever I see something that I want and I'm a few $$$ short I'll usually just close the deal with a Klon. Then a few weeks/months later when I get the Ca$h I'll buy another. I've owned about 4 of them to date including one of the first 100 (#78 I believe ) Sold it back in 2000 for almost $600!! Paid around $300 for my current one and it sounds just as good with no Horsie Graphic. I figured I'd trade it and get another like I always do. Man I would have been PISSED. Not because of the Value, because I really Love that pedal. No more games with that pedal......this one is here to stay no matter what some moron on Ebay pays for one. Can't complain today.......Thanks Santa!

I use Egnater amps so I don't need a Klon.

OK, someone didn't have a good Christmas this morning.

Speaking of Squire Strats (beginner guitars that is), I found a Jay Turser Tele for $169 that I love. I went ahead an upgraded pickups and hardware on it because the thing just feels great. Low strings really resonate. None of the Tele's under 1500 did it for me. The CS Teles are another story... got to get one of those eventually.

Yep, I've got a phony guitar too; what a POS!!!!

I wish he would just build the thing into a little box anyway. The enclosure is novel but it's way too big and pretentious for the switch he's using as well as the knobs look like something off of a cheap 50's toaster. I don't buy into the vibe of it at all. The sucker's heavy too; it add too much weight to my board. I would think with all his design mojo talk on the site, he'd find it a challenge to come up with something else. Take the Lehle switches for example, way more cutting edge and cool. Despite the mystique, it's still a stomp box.

KLON is not an Overdrive. It takes what ever you got and makes it better. Like a good woman.
