Can someone explain to me the whole Klon thing? Why are they so expensive? Are they really that good? Not that I'll ever be able to afford one, but I'm just curious.........Thanks

Use the search function.. 10 seconds of effort and you will have hours of material to read! God knows we dont need ONE more thread on it! :0

the unobtanium philosophy at work.

If there were 30,000 out there in the market, it would just be another overdrive pedal.

Same reason Bigfoot is legendary!

I heard Bigfoot once snapped a picture of the Most Intresting Man in the World! Stay thirsty my friend!

You might ask yourself, "why, ive seen pics and videos of the Klon all over the internet!" Yeah and ive seen pics and videos of UFOs too!

I think it deserves the accolades. Well built and for what it was advertised to do, does it in spades. I would buy but do not have the coin. But if I was a pro player I would. Why has it been cloned? I think it was cloned because it is tops in its class. I may buy the new pedal coming out.

I bought a Klone just to see, while there are a lot of threads there is a lot of noise and not much useful info... threads full of unicorns and devils.

As an owner of a Klone, I just don't get it. It's a lightly colored overdrive, slight mid bump, works ok as a clean boost, and as a pedal to drive your amp, or other pedals.

Perhaps mine does not have the correct mixture of essence of unicorn to work it's magic ;)

its the ONLY drive pedal to have one hundred threads a day posted about it...by 100 guitarists who have NEVER seen, heard, toched or played a klon...

hyperbole...;)

I searched "klon" couldn't find anything...

No seriously search before you ask you may as well not of bothered. FWIW there not worth the price tag they were never originally anything near that price and most of it is hype, there a great clean boost and a nice smooth transparent overdrive thats all there is too it.

Klon sounds like a Con from what's being said, huh?
Not a con, just depends on preference. Consumers drove up the price of the Klon, not the builder (Bill Finnigan). Started out as a moderately priced OD in the beginning. Seriously, do a simple search; you'll find a multitude of information.

Yeah, it's seems a little ridiculous. Especially for the money being asked for them. The artwork is goofy - the centaur looks is lame looking.

Hey man, I never played it, so what do I know? Maybe it sounds awesome. Maybe it makes you play the guitar better too!
