Just got mine in. So far, I like the gain @ 9:00, tone @ 12:00 and volume @ 11:00. How about you, what settings work for you?

As far as tone, it sounds do gone good. Tight in the lows (not flabby) and smooth in the highs. A liitle mids and gain and I think this is all I need.

what amps / guitars are you using. I believe its the treble knob, not tone... is that correct?

You have it down. I use 11 on everything. One sound, the sound I want.

I've had mine for a few days and I've settled pretty much on the same settings as you depending on the guitar. I'm really enjoying the difference in flavour the Klon offers from the 'chang' & slight grain of my Timmy and the total almost clinical transparency of my RC.

It may seem sort of silly to have 3 pedals all running clean boost>low gain but it seems to be working in conjunction with the output levels of my two guitars.

Will the little adaptor that comes with a reissue TS 808 work on the Klon?

My band is fortunate enough to rehearse at a wonderful studio here in Perth. We set-up in the main recording room surrounded by vintage guitars, amps and comfortable couchs and our mics are run through a vintage Neve console! The room is really big (the studio is in what was a Masonic lodge) so we get to turn up at stage volumes and still go home without our ears ringing and of course, it's a great environment for listening to new guitar gear.

All I can say is at after last nights rehearsal is that with my AC30 on the edge of clipping the Klon is a thing of great tonal beauty. I set my Timmy as my basic rhythm level overdrive, Klon for fat singing leads, RC Boost for cleaner boosting and I've never been happier with my sound.

The Klon did a great job of fattening my '98 Tele's bridge pickup and my Fralin loaded Tele Jr had this great broad singing tone.

As I said on another thread I feel like the Klon is the final piece in a tone-puzzle I've been working on for years. This is a real stage tool. It won't be for everyone but it sure is for me!

One last thing, when I was first thinking about buying a Klon I did a number of searches and had read some people mention having bad experiences with the owner. It almost scared me off from calling him. For me this was not the case at all. Bill was nothing but helpfull.

Those are pretty much my settings too.
Plus or Minus 10 %, I often run the gain off
    for nothing but clean boost.

I got a Durham Sex Drive, which does the clean
boost as good as the KLON, (for my taste and rig).
This has opened up the Klon for more "gainer" duties.

    +1

Bill and I had a great conversation when I ordered my Klon. He also replied quickly to an e-mail with follow-up questions.

I've actually met Bill in person & he was a nice guy. He answered all my questions thoroughly & made some initial starting point suggestions for the knobs.
