I'm looking at amps, no surprise there.
I presently have a Bad Cat Hot CAt 30, and a Mesa IIC+, H&K Triamp.
I'm going to add somethung, out of want , not need.
I play mostly rock, some cleaner stuff, some metal, through humbucker guitars, LP's and super-strat type thingies. The
These two amos interest me most.
Which would you pick to add to my present line-up, and why ?

assuming volume isn't an issue for you here's a start. If you compulsively adjust your guitar knobs while playing and thrive on dynamics and subtle tone variances you would really enjoy the Concord. If your a set the guitar and leave it and like to step on things you probably won't like the Concorde.

Both are amazing amps, but what you describe sounds more like what the Tucana does. Try to play both and then decide.....

CA has a great MV, KF50 is loud, even with an Airbrake.

CA cleans and leads more in your control, Input volume, MV and Gain are interactive and let you tune in response, breakup, sustain and complexity of tone. Unlike any MV I have played, both clean and lead sound great (unlike TR or SLO or Boogie which require much tweaking to find good tone or favor leads versus clean.)

Komet is what it is; plug in, turn up to the max gain you need and control the ride from your instrument. Frickin monster ride, at that. An ultimate rock n' roll machine.

Very different...like a BFSR and a Plexi; both great but apples and oranges.

I would love either of these amps. I believe the Tucana has a lot of Wreck like qualities. But have not played one myself.

Thank you for the replies. I seem to have ben lucky enough to get some of the best ears help me out. I think I will get both eventually, as it won't be too long before I have purpose built music studio, with sound-proofing.
Sounds like the Tucana first up, then the Concorde down the track.
I managed to to hear the Komet clips last night ( the site had been down) and I nearly wet my pants.
I don't step on stuff much, and I'm happy for a wild ride, so I think I'll dig the Komets big time when I get one.

I'll give you a few days, then bug you with some PM's. I'm in Oz, so I have no chance of playing either amp until I buy one, or fly over.

Nice clip ! I liked the Eastern feel to that.
You take no prisoners, do you ?
You are not helping the GAS though. What guitar was that ? Neck pup on an LP type ?
I'm pretty convinced I will be ordering one soon. The Minister for Fashion and Chocolate is not overly sold on the aesthetic, but she'll deal. Nothing a trip to the cabinet-maker can't fix.

Hey Matte, cool clip - thanks for posting. Were all guitars in the clip played through the CA or just the lead part?

    Thanks,
    Bill
