Korg Pitchblack for Acoustic?

I just found a made in Japan Aria Classical Guitar today in the garbage. No big deal, but it sounds good enough to have some fun with it, and actually not bad at all. I'm having a hard time tuning it by ear so I broke out my pitchblack tuner and it does not turn on unless an instrument is plugged in. Does the pitchblack not have an internal mic for acoustic instruments or am I missing some secret button or something?

this...you have to go buy a standard tuner if you're having trouble by ear. There are alot of good ones that also have metronomes built into them as well

My old boss tuner always had the mic built in...I just assumed that would standard. Comes in handy if your just practicing in your bedroom unplugged. Oh well, I guess that's why I never got good at tuning by ear!

OTOH - This guitar is screwed. I thought maybe I scored a fun toy for around the house, but it won't hold a tuning at all. Too bad it looks like it was once a player!
