Is there anyone out there that can build me an exact copy of a 58 Korina Explorer, or suggest anyone who can for a descent price? Please PM me.
    Thanks, Brent

I'm pretty sure Saul won't do other people's shapes anymore. It doesn't hurt to ask of course.

Michael Stevens offers an Explorer (the Fetish) that's considered to be nearly perfect. But it'll cost you.

Get a Hamer Korina Vector.... unless you need the "Gibson" logo.

I've owned a MAX Korina Explorer replica and it was incredible. I now have a Hamer Korina Standard and love it. You can't do better than the Hamer as far as value is concerned for this style guitar. If you don't absolutely have to have 58 specs I'd look at the Hamer. I'm not really a fan of many Hamer models but they got it right with the Korina Vector, Korina Standard and the Korina JR. These models pop up on the boards and ebay, so keep a look out and save the dough...

    Ah, yeah...

(but as said, will he build one?) Won't be inexpensive either. If I wanted this model, the Hamer sould be a great way to go.

John Bolin of www.bolinguitars.com. He's built many explorers, from traditional to exotic. Not sure about the price, though.

I recently purchased a Korina Koll V from DAG and it is spectacular. Feather light with creamy brazilian finger board. Best humbucking guitar Ive ever played.
Ive heard it may be the last one he will ever build. Anyone know if thats true? Just curious from those in the know.

+1 for the Hamer. Build quality and playability is top notch, and you can pick one up for < $2,000.
