KOT sounds very similar too ....

..my newly aquired Hughes Kettner Statesman EL34 50watt head
The lead channel of the amp and the KOT sounds very simliar on mid/higher gain setting....kinda cool..kinda not
Ive been using a KOT on a Fender vibrolux most the time..
I love using the KOT but not its alittle redudant on the H&K amp...who would have figured lol!
Just when I though my pedalboard was safe!

I think you're complaining? But all I see here is a giant win - you get to sell your KoT to offset the cost of your new amp, and you free up pedalboard space at the same time.

Ha ! Nope just similar with the gain cranked on the KOT .Talk about a amplike pedal
Id never sell the KOT ,one of the best Ive tried and fills in the spaces for the lower/mid gain tones.Although hmmmm I should open up the amp maybe there is a KOT board inside !
