KRK rockit speaker sizes "tone wise " .. was planning on the 6...
anything else i should consider in this price range
would like the Adams but not in the cards right now
I had all three, the 8's are a HUGE improvement over the 5's and 6's. I wrote a longer review on my experience a while back. Here is the link.well my axe fx II is incoming was wonder if there a huge difference in the

I've been using the Rokit 8's with both modelers and keyboards. Very nice, but remember that these (as are the others mentioned) are nearfield monitors (meaning that you really aren't listening to these much beyond 6-8'), that none of these have particularly flat response and that coupling them with their corresponding subwoofers is a good idea. You will *definitely* hear a difference between the 5's and the 8's, and you will definitely hear a difference between either of these with or without the sub.
I'm also receiving my Axe II the next week and I need some monitors. Same as the OP, same price range. I'm considering this ones:
-I know it's BEHRINGER but I'm very interested in this ones: BEHRINGER B3030A TRUTH or B3031A TRUTH
Don't be fooled by TGP logic.
Behringer is making top notch products now at great prices, the only questionable aspect is the build quality (which they've pretty much corrected) but if you treat your gear well this will be no problem. I use the B3030A Truth monitors with my Axe and they sound killer. They blew away the KRKs and JBLs I A/Bed them against. Budget price, great features, quality sound.
Might be a dumb question but i'm new to the Ax FX thing
If i'm using self powered monitors, i don't need to route them thru
a mixer..Correct?? just straight AX FX into the monitors
