I just received my dynamic overdrive in the mail. This thing is unbeleiveable. Anyone whos seen my pedalboard knows im pretty serious, I held out on the Landgraff DO why??!?!?! I couldn't tell you. I have 3 amps and this may replace 2 of them! I bought this used and have no idea what the knobs are supposed to be labelled or what they do but it sounds great! haha Anyone else experience this with this pedal? I think this will save me money!

Congrats on your Landgraff! I've one of the crazy psychedelic painted ones, without knobs labels, so here's what they do:

    lower knob, center: Tone
    upper knob, right: Gain
    upper knob, left: Volume

    Togel Switch:
lowest position: low gain (but very saturated, kind of zendrive-ish)
middle position: punchy & bright, medium-high gain
    top toggle position: Marshally

Wrong..... The upper Left is gain and the upper right is volume.

Hmmm. You got an Arlon and a Darren paint job... cool.... I tend to like Arlon's a bit more. The whole Ibanez Vai look doesn't do it for me. BUT - it's on the inside that counts anyways... :)

DevilTone - I almost didnt buy the mo-d, I only ordered a LDO and when they called the guy said I could have either .....I asked about the mo-d color and when he told me it was like a via guitar, I almost didnt buy, because Im not a big fan those colors.

But I bought both and like you said its whats inside that counts....The MO-D is sweet, very dynamic distortion, Im still just learning it...And the LDO is great as well. Though I have had 4 of them and they all sound great and are the most consistant pedal Ive tried. Everyone I had sounded alike...too close too call....

The paint jobs are kinda growing on me......

I ordered my LDO from John... He tweaked mine a bit to my liking even though I didn't know what I liked. He nailed it!! Amazing. I have a MO'D on the way. I can't wait to hear it. It's in the Vai vain, but it doesn't matter. I wanna hear it!!! :)

Glad to hear you ordered one. I think you'll like it, I played mine at practice tonight. I used it on a Santana song and a Journey song. It rocked, just like the LDO but gets some heavier sounds.

Ive played alot of dirt boxes and this ones great. I have ended up with 3 dirt pedals(hopefully thats all) Klon-LDO-MO-D.....They all sound great through the BF Fenders I play...Make sure you let us know when you get the MO-D...

All these Landgraff threads are killing me! I just about called him today. I am currently running various combos of my LGW>DRD>HB>Tim stack. I pulled my Eternity off a few weeks ago because I preferred how much cleaner the LGW can get and how it stacks better with my other BJF od's.

By itself, the E is tough to beat, but with the combination of sounds I can get with the BJF's and Tim, I'm liking it better this way.

I already have a lot of $ in od's on my board, but I can't help wondering HOW good the Landgraff is. I like the E, but I find it a little lacking in the bottom end compared to the LGW. For singing sustain, it's hard to beat the E though.

Is the Landgraff THAT much better than the E?
    (please tell me it's not):crazy

    How about this one? :)
I'll take better pics. It's easily the most beautiful box I've ever seen but as you said, it's the inside that counts.

    What is it?

    LDO/MOD in one box, or
    LDO/LDO or
    MOD/MOD or
    ...

    ???

Thanks johan for the inside pic. Love it. You have the Mo'd and the LDO, right?

I had the Eternity about a month ago the burst model, and it was nice. But the LDO still stood out. The LDO still has more mids than the E, but you can get the tone kit to taylor it to your tone and equipment. I guess what I like about the LDO is that when you hit a single note it just punches you in the face dependent on your picking or it will just sing and sustain for days. The E seemed thinner hitting a single note.
The only time I get commints on my tone is when I'm using the LDO. One time I was using the E, Tim, Zendrive, LDO, together and switching between them for different songs. The only song I got compliments for was the ones I played with the LDO.

May I step in and disagree with your wording a little without sounding anal?

The "down" toggle position on my LDO has PLENTY of gain, but it has a volume output drop compared to the middle position (that is easily sorted out by using the volume control).

Middle position is the most full range and least compressed
Up has a bit of an upper mid thing going on, so I agree with your "Marshall" label
Down is most TS like - somewhat compressed and with a bit of bass cut (all else in the circuit being at stock value)
    IMHO

I'm a big fan of middle toggle setting, gain at 10:00-11:00, tone at 11:30 and volume just above unity. This setting into a breaking up amp gives great thick single notes with great singing quality and by easing up pick attack can get pretty clean.

How do I contact Landgraff to speak with him about getting one of his creations?

I've been using LDO for almost six years now. It is my favorite OD pedal among the ones I've tried along with my CJOD.
