I've not used his amps, but he posts on the Metro Amp Forum all the time. Seems very knowledable. He was one of the guys there that developed the currently hot PPIMV that has a 40-page thread devoted to it. I've used the PPIMV twice, it works great!

That PPIMV is really similar to the one Allen Amps has been using for years. So I would question its origin. OTH, Larry does beautiful work.

looks crazy- tight sweet work going on there. Not wild about the look or name, but it LOOKS really interesting. A bit "metal" looking, perhaps he'll do a one off?

And the pone Ken Fischer used for many years. In fact I believe that thread begins with Ken circuit and Larry made it mo' betta.
I haven't heard one but would love to. Some of the finest build quality to be seen. His working knowledge is also very well exercised. Never met him but his exchanges I have read would lead me to believe he is also an easy person to work with.

Yeah, that PPIMV is basically the Fischer circuit with some safety resistors added to the dual pot. That part was the experimental part. Larry had thought about trying it and when the other guy started off the thread, Larry chimed in and had him try this variation. It's the best MV I've ever used.

Well I just got an email- the amps are over 7,000 dollars right now, with a 9 month waiting list.

    Yikes...

If I was ever going to start buying amps again (I'm building my own now), then I would have started with a larry british purist
