This is my first attempt to record a song using a real tube amp and a loadbox.

    the chain is:

Fender '68 Landau Strat (bridge p.u.) > Rockett The Dude > Eventide H9 Delay > Divided by 13 FTR > speaker out into Two Notes Torpedo Reload > Two Notes WoS III plug-in loaded in GarageBand.

I'm very happy for the sound I've got with a very minimal effort.. any comment will be very appreciated thanks for listening!

    Hi Stragatto,

That sounds excellent and the LC vibe is definitely present but there also a bit of what I assume is you in the playing. I would be interested in hearing something else with your playing on it.

    Cheers,

Also amazing you get that kind of sound from a strat bridge single coil. That must be some Dude magic.

Inspired by your take, I took out my 3 sc Blade Texas CS and hooked it up to a Kemper with a Dumble profile to see if I could get a similar sound. Worked surprisingly well. Lots of fun to be had.

    Thanks for this!

    Cheers,

Thanks, you'll find The Dude to be a really great pedal and for sure it "can" help you to get that sound. Of course the playing is equally important as we can find in several YT demo where the D-character is totally lost by a different playing approach.

    Yes it is!
(also the ML Strat has very good magnets and a useful tone control on the bridge p.u.)

I'm happy you've got good results with your gear too!

My very favourite tones and songs by Larry are on Last Nite and On Solid ground.
He was using the Valley Arts guitar and Dumble.
Larry was on fire on Last Nite.
    You should be proud.
    You're nailing that sound.

Thanks Lef T, I agree with you about Larry's best sound on records and Last Nite is his highest peak for sure.

I've met him Live two times here in Italy and being part of the technical staff in 2010 I had the opportunity to do the soundcheck for him with his Gibson 335 and the Bludotone amp. Very exciting situation where I was playing some of his tune with his gear on his stage! (and got many compliments from his guitar tech Rick Wheeler too) :)

Wow, that's an amazing experience for sure! I have been listening to him since about 15-16 y/o also when I heard his work on The Royal Scam. I had been playing for 2-3 years at that time. Immediately went and found his solo stuff. That album live at the Baked Potato continues to be one of my all time favorites. I have spent many long hours back in the day trying to learn those solos note for note. I saw him with the Bludotone at the Blue Note in NYC last year right up front and got to fist pump him when he walked off stage. He's in my top three guitar heroes for sure.

Wow, you got LC down and your studio/recording work is top notch! Do you write any music? Would love to hear it, if so- keep up the great work.
