Latency through Bose Soundlink mini

I just bought a Bose soundlink mini to use at home with my boss br80 for practise. It sounds really, really good but there is latency when going through the aux in. It makes it useless to me, otherwise it would be a great rig to use at home. Does someone have an idea if it can be fixed and what the reason might be?

Wow, thanks for reporting this. Was just about to order one of these since my pair of soundmatters foxlv2 just aren't loud enough before distortion, even though they do sound pretty good. Sorry I can't help though

Any approx idea how much latency is being added (just curious)? I'm thinking the A/D converter adds less than 1ms, but Bose probably does run it through DSP like you said to make the unit sound so good. But so do other speakers (EV, CLR) so I'm surprised the latency on the Bose is so high that it is a deal breaker, especially when not using the Bluetooth. I would think they would have noticed this in testing because lips wouldn't sync up on movies.

Can you turn Bluetooth off to see it that somehow removes or at least reduces the latency?

When you use aux it turns off the bluetooth.
Don´t know exactly how many ms the latency. But it is really apparent. Even my girlfriend who don´t play guitar noticed it..

I think I will try to se if it´s updated with the latest firmware. Maybe that can help otherwise it´s going back to the store..

HI ALL. I was wondering about the BOSE soundlink mini LATENCY on AUX input. HERE is a little test while playing a musical theme and recording the speaker OUTPUT. Of course there is a little latency due to my audio system but i set it to the shortest. You can notice the difference between JBL GO which has a SHORTER latency than the BOSE soundlink MINI V1. Anybody could do this with the new soundlink mini 2. (IN my case, the Envaya MINI by Denon solved the problem, and i can play MUSIC with no latency. :)
