I've been following this leak for a year on my personal guitar blog and now one Marshall pedal is confirmed in the wild.

Just as I predicted, Marshall will have waited out the entire BB craze before finally re-releasing them. By now, there are so many variations and clones of it available at all prices.

Still cool though!

Wish they will make them a little smaller while keeping the overall esthetic. Maybe they'll justify making them this big (and expensive) by not using SMD components, like the original.

Marshall have made a lot of decisions over the years that make it pretty clear they hate money.

Has anyone seen the inside of these yet? If they're straight-up accurate reproductions of the originals, then it's a hard pass from me. The bypass on those pedals were really bad. And some of the deign choices are baffling. The plastic jacks physically hold the pcb to the enclosure. If the small plastic male threads get stripped, the jack will just recess into the pedal, making it more or less unusable. It's a proprietary jack that is hard to source a replacement for. I've owned the BB, the Shred Master, and the Drive Master. Granted, they're all 30-years old. But each one of them had one failure or another, from switches to pots to jacks. They are definitely not tour-worthy.

The sounds that these pedals made are awesome. But in the ensuing decades, there have been plenty of circuit clones made with more robust components, and true-bypass switching. I'm sure these reissues will sell well. But if they're accurate reissiues, I'll be watching from the sidelines. Have fun guys.

Any word on price? At the right price I'd be tempted, especially if they're less than EvilBay prices!
