Les Paul: Do you prefer yours with a pickguard, or without?

Do you prefer your LP nakie, or with a pickugard?

    I kinda like them on solid colored guitars, but I usually dislike the white ones on colorful/flamed guitars.

    for the most part, I like mine without pick guards.

    Ever since seein' Duane and Dickey back in the day Lesters just seem normal w/o pickguards.

    I've got two LPC's from the 70s, one with, one without. All bases covered. :)

    Without for me. I think they look good both ways but I thought it felt like something was in the way playing with it on mine, I took it off and have never considered putting it back on.

    For sure on some LPs they look very good but no guard on my black beauty.

    I prefer them with a pickguard but mine came with the pickguard not mounted and no holes drilled (it's a 2000 Gary Moore Signature) so I left it off.

    I prefer them with the pickgaurd. I gotta have some kinda support for my right hand haha.

    No pickguard. Makes me cry when I see a beautiful top with a pick guard installed! Some guys love em with the guard. I just wouldn't buy one with the holes drilled into the top.

    I wish they made a pickguard that snapped into place without the holes so you had a choice

    A pickguard would absolutely ruin this aesthetic. In fact, it did. And that's why I took it off.
