I'm a Les Paul Junior guy. I love the tone you can get out of them. Whether it's country or rock and roll, you can get it with the LP Junior. Personally i've never used an SG Jr. , but I'm interetsed in them. Anybody have any comparisions or things to say about the tone, or anything for that matter about these guitars?

I've had LP Special and SG Specials... The Lps have been a little beefier with more lows... SG had more mids or at least percieved mids

I wondered the same thing as you. I checked youtube... I think there are some really good representations of both guitars.

I agree, the Les Paul has more beef to it, more punch. The SG has more of a mid range focus, in a nice way.

In playing SGs I have found that SGs are hit or miss with regard to sustain dead spots on the neck; I think it must be the double cut away. Some are fine, some seem to choke off the note. Try before you buy if this matters.
