i was selling my 89 35 anniversary les paul custom and getting lowball offers,i then decided that i'll keep her after all these years together............but i wanted to change her to suit me. i first removed all the black plastic and pickups,i changed it all to cream including finding a cream/black/cream pickguard, pickups are dimarzio virtual vintage pickups in the neck and bridge for more midrange as this paul is all mahogany,to go with the cream/black theme i put a zebra seymour duncan antiquity,50's wiring, cts pots, vintage caps, extra set of thumbwheels on the bridge posts and a gold lightweight tailpiece........and a sexy blond in a thong sticker!................................now i have fallen in love all over again with this axe! before [IMG]

Cool guitar! I think zebra pickups look incredibly good on Ebony guitars. I've never really been a huge fan of double whites on Ebony, but yours actually looks really good. It really looks like a hot-rodded vintage custom. I could see Pete Townsend or Neil Young slinging that. Thanks a lot for sharing this with us.

    Nice Axe!

You should never part with a guitar you've had that long... ;)

Sometimes a little buffing, some new hardware, a little new plastic and a pickup swap can give an old dog some new life. Nice looking guitar.

makes me jones for Steve Marriot's & Clem's style

    dig the PIE !!!

now those gits had some real tone-
the players behind them probally contributed to that
