A guy I know told me that he had one of these. I've never heard of one before. I'm just looking for pics or links to one of these guitars, because the guy is a pathological liar. He says "it has pearl pickups", or whatever. I just thought, if anyone can tell me if this guy is lying, you guys can prove him wrong.

    A real Gibson? Uhm... no.

A codename for a clone builder? Maybe. (After all, there are Keeblers.)

A pathological liar? I think we'll likely file this one under "priceless".

I'm not sure Gibson has heard of them.
    :)

But someone can have anything built in the custom shop.
Corporate customers have had all kinds of Les Pauls built with their product logos on them.

If the guitar actually exists (and isn't a figment of his imagination), I'm inclined to think it may just be a modded Les Paul.

"Pearl pickups"? = maybe Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickups?

Get some some pics and post them (including headstock).
If he won't give you pics, that may tell you something.

I also played an Esse G. It was way different than the Esse 335.
