I would guess a lot more. Pawn Stars was asking $250k for Mary Ford's Les Paul SG a few years back, and it wasn't on the market long.

It is tempting, but I am saving up for either Old Black, or Skateboard when they come available.

Pawn stars was a setup and the guitar was not Mary Fords. Please dont base value of anything on that show. It's scripted BS.

Sold tonight for around $340K (hammer 275, +23% buyer prem, +tax) to Jim Irsay, http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...hadow-life-indianapolis-colts-owner-jim-irsay
Guitar has a cool heritage, ultimately, and if anyone knows what was in Les' head, it was Tom Doyle. (He doesn't come with the sale though)

Les drilled out the tuneomatic and put in bigger posts with slots, like a Chibson!

Best lot was an original Gibson Stevens pickup winder used from the 40's-60's hammered at $1600. Won't be long before we see a big or boutique maker minting and branding authentic $500 P-90's made on Les Paul's machine the near future... an order from one 3-pup firebird owner, and it's paid for.

I remember that...the guy that brought it to the shop, if I remember correctky was a bit abrasive...
Did it ever sell for anywhere near the asking price?

I remember it had all the provenance.

It's chump change for Colt's owner, Jim Irsay.

Its funny that every Les Paul I see Les Paul with is a prototype with all kind of weird switches and uglyness going on.

Hopefully Irsay doesn't keep the guitar in the back seat while he's driving around all hecked up on goof pills.
