Fano Looks like a classy design
Cool.
We were childhood friends, we were in a band together when we were teenagers..
He played drums though.

He seems like the kind of person you'd want to hangout with all day long! So f'ing creative and funny.

I'll look into it, I may not want to go that high,
I know Saint Blues is also a real quality boutique luthier, and big bux..

the Fano is about $2800
..about $800 more than a LP Standard,
But $1k less than a LP Custom,

I'm rocking LP's since the late 70's,
I think I can use a little freshening up to my tone,
Looking to buy a tele and I saw these,
it looked really hi tech and well made.

I love those. There was a super cool orange one a few years ago. I'd want un-relic'ed though.

I'd spend $2500 on a guitar I guess,
I have two instruments for sale right now that will fetch about that much used.

I had plans on getting a '73 Norlin Era Deluxe.
But my tastes are starting to change now,
thinking of some sort of Tele but undecided if I want to go traditional
or maybe something with a humbucker at the neck..
I'll probably wind up with a LP and a Tele both..

Definitely spend some time with them before you pull the trigger.

Played a bunch of Fanos at Ludlow Guitars in the east village.
I can't see what all the fuss is about.
Very light, but not at all resonant (acoustically dead).
Flat/colorless/uninspiring tone.
Tons of much more interesting options, especially in the >$2k price range.
