    AKA Pillow Talk

I need something better than what I have to rest my head on.... tired of waking up with a cranked neck...have purchased regular pillows ranging from 5 dollars to 20 dollars. They all seem to last bout the same amount of time. I lean toward the firm side on support.

I sleep on my side for the most part.

There was a thread from 2012... but many of the links were dead and I'm guessing there is some high quality and new pillow technology out there in 2015!

    Suggestions please.

I have pillow issues also. The pillow I like the best is the one you see the infomercial on TV. I have found it at Bed Bath and Beyond. The have it in a medium loft and firm. The firm one is working for me. Good luck as I know comfort is subjective.

Latex is the best I've found, it seems to hold its shape better. There's an $80 model at Macy's that regularly goes on sale for $40-$50. There's not too many things you use for 8 hours a day, 7 days a week so you might as well get a good one.

I have a latex one as well that works pretty good. Good for side sleeping.

I just bought a Ralph Lauren memory foam...latex. Its pretty nice and has support and give but not in the exact ratio I like. Still its pretty good. About 70 bucks. Caveat: IT STINKS. I'm hoping the new rubber smell goes away and soon.

Have you ever tried pillows stuffed with buckwheat husks? I sleep on one and it's amazing. Got it on amazon.

I remember posting this thread a few years ago and I recently have been shopping for pillows. Thy make them so darn thick now it is frustrating. I ordered a mypiilow.com pillow and it's ok. Going to keep it for the guest bedroom. But I still haven't found a good one for me. Going to try an organic pillow next...

I've been thinking about one of those Mypillows.

Is that the infomercial one mentioned above?

Website seems like it could go either way.

I don't know what it's stuffed with. I think they are in the $50 range.

I always hear the commercials on Sirius Radio. They seem to be popular. I'm personally on the fence but they have several kinds to choose from and a return policy so it's easy enough to give it a shot.

Memory foam changed my life. I was a toss and turn wake up sore kind of guy. When we moved last fall I took the small bedroom and sold my CA king set. I bought an adjustable twin bed with mem foam mattress and pillow and can't remember when I slept better.

I like latex pillows. Mine has a zipper so you can add or remove latex to get to your preferred pillow firmness.

I had neck problems for over 20 years. Got a MyPillow.com pillow 4 yrs ago and I can honestly say it is hands down the best thing I ever did for my health...short of not eating at McDonalds anymore.
    Highly recommended.

My favorite is feathers. But not down, I mean the regular feathers. You can sort of wad them up and they conform around the neck and head. Most people must not like them though because I rarely seem to see them in stores.

I'm a back sleeper. Not sure if they are suited for side sleeping.
