Its never going to be collectible if that is the basis of the question.

Limited this or special edition that are not what becomes collectible never have never will be.
Whats the going rate on a Limited Edition $10K Less Paul Corvette from about ten years ago?(about $3.5K mmm now add real terms inflation ,Bargain. This is just one of hundreds of money making scam guitars to sell at a hugely inflated margins.)

Haha i am sensing that LE guitars don´t get much love here :)

I couldn´t care less if it is a collectors item or not i just want to now the story behind the model before i pull the trigger. I have the option to buy one of these at a fair price, so if anyone has tried it and has opinions on it as a players guitar i would love to hear them.

To me it looks like the ultimate Hot Rod Strat. Vintage specs, the fat early 60´ties oval C-shape neck, with the 9,5 radius, medium jumbos and a racing stripe thrown in

Yeah contra, I like those specs. Well 'cept the stripe. It's just the LE tag is a marketing gimmick. and Fender's done it a zillion times.

I'm sure the guitar is as good as any other CS strat but I wouldn't pay a penny extra for the LE part. It will be limited to as many as they could sell.
