Recently picked one up for cheap. I will mainly be using a few delays/chorus/mods for it. I MAY use an OD/fuzz here or there but I have dedicated pedals for that currently.

Just curious where you guys are placing them in your chain order? I figured I would put it after my noise gate but before my blue sky.

    Thoughts/opinions?

I have mine in a true bypass loop strip. But it is essentially last in my chain. I As I am more interested in the delays/reverbs/mods/filters, which I want after my dirt section.

If you are not using your M5 in a true bypass loop - make sure you go through each patch and set it to true bypass (yes you have do this on every patch - there is no global setting). Otherwise you can get some pretty ugly tone suck.

I have mine on my small board after my dirt pedals and before my Boss DD20.

Mines at the front before od and dist. Synth, pitch and wha sounded best here.

My H9 covers delays and reverb when I've got a dirt pedal on. If I don't have the H9, I have the M5 last doing delay & the rest.

M5 is a great pedal. It does a lot of things really well.

I use mine second last, with the Big Sky after. I use it as a noise gate when I'm using amp gain or an on the fly effect depending on the preset.

I thought you can set the whole thing as DSP bypass or true bypass..?

    od, distortion and/or fuzz > eq > modulation > M5 > delay > reverb

I have it placed after my drives and volume pedal and before my time based effects. Seems to work out for me.. although I rarely use the drives.
