Line 6 M9 reviews?

Anyone bought, used, trashed, etc. a Line 6 M9?

Trying to put together a simple effects board and wondering if this thing might sound good enough through my Goodsell Super 17. Generally haven't been impressed with the distortion/OD/etc. in digital multi-effects I've auditioned, but my meager research of this unit leads me to believe it doesn't have any.

Figured this thing plus maybe a good boutique fuzz and wah might do me.

Thoughts and thanks.

My bad. Honest mistake. I just searched "Line 6 M9" and got nothing but a few select posts in other type threads.

I'll check out the other one for the info. Thanks for the heads up.

The M9 is pretty fantastic. I've had one since the first shipment and have been VERY impressed. The dirts take some time to tweak, but there are a good share of usable tones there if you put a little effort into it.

The looper is boss, delays & 'verbs are sweet. Modulation is great. Filtering is surprisingly awesome. I like it a lot.

yea... the search function is not so kind because (as I understand it) it doesn't search for anything less than 4 characters. I did the same search and got nothing. I just happened to know how old it was.

yes. its very very very good. the dirt DOES take some time, but overall im pretty impressed with the sound quality of the m9/m13. That being said, i use analog dirt pedals, and use the m9 for modulation, filters, verb, and delay.

yes. search function can be a pain. :D

The other issue with Line 6 M9 and searches, besides the search engine not recognizing two and three character words, is that almost all of the posts are in the Digital and Modeling Gear section. Go there, and you'll see there are numerous huge threads about the M9 and the M16.

I sent mine back. I only use four pedals... tuner, two for dirt and delay. The real thing I was hoping for was that the M9 would equal and surpass my dirt sounds. It didn't. The other effects like delay were good and I think it is brillantly engineered overall. Also I kind of expected more for vibe, chorus and phaser (spoiled from my old intellifex). For the price, a great deal. I was just hoping for a all in one solution.
