Line 6 - please come out with an M13 replacement with built-in power supply and some of the features from Helix like the scribble strips and multi-function foot switches!

I'd settle for an M13 with better footswitches.

Line 6 stuff is all designed to be disposable. Why buy it?

My HD 500 served me well under moderately heavy use (every weekend at church) for 5 years. My M13 gave me no problems for a full 2 years before that iirc. Helix is built like a tank. The older stuff I had held up great and never gave me so much as a hiccup.

    Disposable? not in my experience.

I had to have a Variax serviced. Great service, quick turnaround.

Absolute nonsense. My old Spider II head/cab is working perfectly in the rehearsal space I sold it to (and I was the third owner!), and my Vetta combo pulls sterling duty as a gigging amp for me regularly. Maybe treat your gear with a bit more respect and it'll last longer?

I replaced the switches on my DL4, and after many years my M9 might need some replaced. But both are solid. The power supply on my HD500 had to be replaced after 3 years (tiny cable), but it lasted the 5 years I used it (on/off relationship with it).
