But, boy, is that volume on the the PC+ cranked! So, since it's digital, are you saying I don't have to worry about a bad signal to noise ratio?

I’m not sure I’m the best reference but I don’t thing you have to worry.
You’re still going to send a healthy signal to it anyway.

Today, I had some good time with my PC+ via a different approach:
    1. Use LF Flat Mode, and config it's LowCut=60 and HighCut=6.5Khz
    2. Dial an Amp model WITHOUT cabs and go directly into the PC+.

Give it a try, it works especially well with Fender style tones and high gain tones.

I hope the new firmware adds some good stuff for PC+ beside the control via L6Link..... I wish more speaker models, accurate interaction between amp models and speakers, etc

How does that remove power camp modeling? That'd be part of the Helix amp model, right?

You are right, my bad, it removes the "cab modeling" not the power amp modeling.

    Updated my post, thanks.

Anything I need to know about when hooking up the HX Stomp to a Powercab Plus for the first time?

In global, Output to cab needs to be line, input for guitar instrument

As mentioned, make sure your output setting is set to line. And also, you might need to adjust the input gain on the Powercab itself. I find that if needs a good amount of signal to turn yellow when digging and that's where you want it. I find it sound a bit too sterile if the signal going into the Powercab is too low.

    Have fun! :)
