Yep... Improved amp models, new effects, IR loading and more features than you can swing a dead cat at. This is more like the HD500 on steroids... Seriously, though, this a top of the line modeler, effects board and controller.

So is this Line 6's response to Fractal's FX8? At first glance, it looks similar but with an expression/volume pedal and a higher price point.

FX8 doesn't do amp modeling. This does (plus, again, IR loading!!). FX8 is limited to 8 effects. This allows up to 32, with routing flexibility that's is well beyond the Fractal product.

Yep. Amp and cab blocks can be separated. Also you can run dual cabs off of one amp. From a routing standpoint, there's not much the Helix can't do.
