Awesome! Love your creativity in creating tones...
How did you do the drums?

Thanks, I appreciate it. This is part of a solo original project, the first I've done in at least 10 years, so I'm still exploring ground and trying to let the songs flow out where they want to go, rather than me dictating things to them. It's been rewarding and challenging. The drums are a lot of tweaking in EZDrummer 2. I'm doing guitars, bass, and vocals.

FlyingsCool already answered if you're editing on PC, but from the unit:

    1) Select the preset.
    2) Hit the Save button.
    3) Use the knobs below the screen to select the Setlist and Preset slot.
    4) Hit the Save button or the knob under OK.

@FlyingsCool, Thanks for digging out and reposting those several @benadrian dissertations! They remain informative insights of what's cookin' in Helix. I know re-reading them can be useful reminders for many Helix users and significant new discoveries for others.

I encorage @Frank Ritchotte, @Digital Igloo, @benadrian, and others at Line 6 to allocate resources to compile, edit (as needed) and include these gems (and the many others from DI, Ben, and others), in some form of a Helix Advanced Features Guide or include them in next year's Helix 3.0 User Manual PDF.

These Deep Feature Insights, Tips, and Suggestions are too good to allow them to float downstream as the ever ongoing threads here and on the Line 6 Forums continue to flow on.

Your concerted effort on this track really shines! What a great song and really tasty guitar! The sultry verse lyric plays nicely into the classic bluesy rock groove chorus. Love the guitar intro and solo!

hey guys, dummy question but how do I set the expression pedal as a volume pedal for every single presets ? I mean if I switch bank or presets, the volume pedal just bypass by default, a bit confusing ...

You cannot apply a block globally. You can copy presets from one slot to any other slot. A lot of people create a standard preset "template(s)" with blocks they use and set up the way they like and then copy that preset every time they want to try something else.

Think of each preset as a blank 32 slot pedal board. Given that a volume pedal(s) could go anywhere in your chain and could be attached to any one of 3 expression pedals, there's no way to be able to affect all presets globally to add a block to all of them at once.

Well, I don't know art, but I know what I like. Nicely done, in all aspects. Great writing/playing/singing/tones, and good engineering/production chops as well. Keep doing that...

As long as all your presets have Volume Pedal blocks (I believe almost all factory presets do), you can make the volume pedal global:
    1. Press MENU and then Knob 6 (Global Settings).
    2. Use the joystick to select the EXP Pedals submenu.
    3. Turn Knob 5 (EXP 2 Pedal Position) to "Global."

Tonight, continuing my exploration of the helix, I've played around with some low gain amps,
started with a jtm45 (because I own one) and landed on the divided by 13 amp.
Had a lot of fun with it and made my first recording just to check if everything works good with my protools.

    here's the result.

Forgive my playing, it's just some noodling over a backing track.

Oh, btw, someone PM'ed me about it, and I've been using the default cabs in the amp&cab block with the early reflection parameter on 30% and using an eq block afterwards with high cut at around 8khz and low cut at about 80hz. I've done the separate blocks, IRs, dual cabs, separate cabs with light verb on one, etc... Amp&cab works fine for me lately.

What amp, cab & mic are you using on "Kissed" if you don't mind sharing? Sounds great!
Also, what amp, cab & mic for the bass? Very fat but very clear.
