Sorry, should have been clearer haha!
It does go with the volume off on either guitar, but it makes no sense for it to then be completely silent when running it through the front of the Katana at my gig last week. If it was always there, which I expect it is, it shouldn't then just disappear?
And yes, I meant when it's completely taken out and not connected to Helix at all. It happens with Gtr -> Helix -> any output it seems.
I've also tried other friends guitars at church, which are silent through their own rigs, and it buzzes just as much.

Can’t wait for someone to teach me how to use the new Shelving EQ! I never really looked into Jason’s split crossover videos, because I didn’t want to use an extra block on the Stomp. But sounds like this new EQ alleviates the need for that “trick.”

Yup, changed cables, kettle leads, output cables, the works!
The normal guitar IS a Strat, but with humbuckers in. While I get there would be a bit of buzz (and I'm used to that in the past), the amount of buzz I get now feels "disproportional".

It's not a hoax, but it's from an old list that's depressingly innaccurate. Through circuitous but wholly legitimate routes, someone got a hold of a list that included a bunch of TBD wish list models and features (some of which we haven't even started and have since decided not to pursue) and leaked it. It's all way too much drama for a Friday morning but I'll post the proper list tomorrow.

In the meantime, everyone should curb their enthusiasm. If 2.80 was that big a deal, we would've done a proper NAMM launch, like we did with 2.50 last year. It won't be out until spring anyway.

Nah, it was an innocent mistake on his part. It sucks, but there's no putting that genie back in the bottle.

Could be a ground loop or some other noise seeping in. You could use a DI box with an isolated transformer when connecting to the PA...and...use the noise suppression on the Helix input

Helix is balanced, but does it have an isolated transformer? I've had buzz with my Helix balanced outs and used a stereo DI box with isolated transformers...no noise. I also carry RFI filters with me...just in case.

Were you running into the effects return of the katana, or front end. The kat has a noise gate on by default, could be why it was quiet in that scenario.

I dont really do high gain, but ive seen online videos where users add 2nd gate toward end of chain in helix, maybe work around here?

It's not clear at this time that they'll do either. But if it came down to it, it would almost certainly be more blocks on 1A/1B, rather than the addition of 2A/2B. There's no second processor in the Stomp to support 2A/2B.

    Flack coming in...
So $69.00 for 12 machined buttons, each tapped for a setscrew and including a neo magnet, that works out to less than $6.00 per button, for a product that is not mass produced. How can this be considered outrageous? Makes me think that Opie has never tried to make and sell anything under similar circumstances.

Just wishful thinking. The idea being that the Stomp would/could/should be the equivalent of one full path on the Helix rather than a truncated six blocks.
