Where do we find the bundle?
I’ve got a question about the big volume knob. I currently have it set to control both the XLR and 1/4” outputs. I’m going to try adjusting the global setting to 1/4” only. What happens to the XLR volume? Does it default to full volume? Some kind of unity volume (based on what)?
Anybody know or try this?
The whole thing is cool, but jump to 3:25 if you wanna get into the Helix-specific stuff.
Is it as simple as 2 choices: L6 or User for each block?
Therefore, not a list but a User choice in addition to the L6 default?
Man, it is a joy to watch your creative efforts and production groove at work!
Love the way you transformed Caught In A Dream's lick in the third video. What a transformation!
I don't think anyone here pretends to do the work for line 6. We are just sharing ideas around concepts based on actual needs.
Regarding the presets, I know Digital Igloo said he doesn't want lists within lists, but to me, that would still be the easiest way to implement this. It's "just" one more subfolder.
click amp --> guitar amp --> Litigator The amp appears and you can tweak it
or click one more time and you get your list of presets: Clean, dirty, bright...
amp --> guitar amp --> Litigator --> presets
delay --> stereo --> digital delay --> presets (slapback, lead, ...)
I think I can live without presets, but on the other hand I'm sure they could help us discover the potential of some amps, or delays and mods for instance
Here, but need to sign up first https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?board=138.0
Not that anyone should care a lot what I think, but I disagree.
I have enormous respect for Line 6's architecture and UI evolution skills, but I don't see any real downside to us users talking about what's important to us, and sketching out some possible approaches. I'm 100% certain Line 6 won't blindly accept anything we say as gospel, but they will hear it as input to their process, and that's all good.
I'm so bummed that I can't join. It's the only thing that EVER made my even consider facebook.
Okay, well, I'll just have to change that one. Do you know if that last block has to be mono and ACTIVATED, for the XLR's to be dual mono, or do I just have to have the block last in the chain?
Yes, if you want to force the XLR outs to be dual mono, you need to have an active mono block as the last block. A dummy mono Gain block would do the trick.
Sweet! My ears thank you!
Test it by recording to two tracks and see if it matters. Sometimes it doesn't
So now you have two lists in the software, the list of the Line 6 default parameters and a list that is written to memory of the user choice. I think this is the lists that were being referred to.
XLR would default to full volume (unity). It's great for sending FOH a solid signal that won't ever be changed and then controlling a monitor, etc. with the knob and 1/4" outputs.
Why can't you join? Ruby you are welcome!!!
Me and you both Ruby
Tempts me, too - but I've expressed my views on "social" media elsewhere here, and nothing's changed.
But this place will do quite nicely....
