Could someone give me a list of the most popular Boutique amps. And maybe what amps they are modeled after, like Victoria = Fender Tweed
And also maybe even what types of tubes they use.
I think this could be a cool list to have.

    Thanks

There is a list on TGP somewhere unless it got deleted. I'll search for it and see if I can find it.

For Booteek I like the Andrews A-22, A-25, A-50 amps. Very good tones out of EL84's! www.andrewsamplab.com

It would be a long list. Not a bad idea though; they could be grouped into catagories. I'll do a few:

    Fender style: Allen, Clark, Victoria

    Marshall style: Germino, Blockhead

    Hod Rod Marshall style: Soldano

Dumble style: Two Rock, Bludotone, Glaswerks, Fuchs, Ceriatone

    Trainwreck style: Fuchs, Ceriatone

    Other: Mesa, Alessandro

    Solid state: Pritchard, Pearce

Obviously some makers fall into several categories. Please feel free to bend, fold, spindle and mutilate.

I can definitely think of a few more in the Marshall vein:

Blankenship, Reinhardt, Metroamps, Voodoo, Blockhead, Custom Audio, Mojave, Rockytop, Aiken

    Hiwatt and Marshall - Reeves

Fargen does Fender and Marshall amps

Top Hat does Marshall amps and Vox

Kingsley have been described as Dumble meets Vox with its own thing.

    Hope that helps some.

    Oh yeah,

    Vox: Matchless, Alessandro

To answer the other part of your post would be very laborious, but in general, Fender amps tend to use 6V6 and 6L6 power tubes, Marshalls use EL 34s and EL 84s, Vox uses primarily EL 84. Most use 12AX7 preamp tubes.

Dammit. I had a jump page in my favorites with BUNCHES of links to amp builders but my computer crashed a while back and I don't think I backed up my favorites. I'll see if I can find it somewhere.
