list How is the "best" marshall mods and who did them?

I am looking to get a few Modded Marshalls...

I am open to Splawn and others which is a modded style marshall...

    To start you have:

    Caswell
    Cameron
    Freedman Hippy
    Bray
    Etc....

If you have owned some and compared which did you like better and Why...
Does it still sound like a Marshall or is it something else now.

I don't even have the words to translate the sound(s), feel and power that a Marshall Friedman Hippie has, it goes from the power of a Magnum 44, can be as precise as an olimpic air rifle or slick and smoth as a Walter PPK, all this at the turn of your guitar vol. knob, AND without killing that old Marshall organic thing...

Dave can translate into an amp what you describe with words, amazing...

BUT, there's another amp guru, John Suhr, have to get a modded Marshall from him... GAS, GAS, GAS...

I really dig the Cameron mod on my 6550 loaded 2204. Its pretty much filled my Hi-Gain cravings. It came to me in perfect timing too because I was stuck between picking up a XTC, Diezel, or other nice modern Hi-Gain amp. None really "did-it" for me, so this was perfect...

    But,

Unfortunately, getting a mod done by Cameron may not be the easiest thing to do...

As the original owner of Vince's (SniperV) '81 2204, I really glad he didn't dump it!:banana

I love my Aldrich Cameron mod, really nice sounding. Good luck getting your marshall modded now though, think Marks determined to get his new amp line off the ground :)
