    Hi all!

Just learning to use Reaper to record.

Here is a little thing I put together.

It is Amplifire, with an acoustic IR, and power amp sim, some chorus, verb, and lastly, a splash of Moog MiniFooger delay.

No post processing or anything; I just recorded straight into Reaper via my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 through my super old Vista computer!! There is like 10 seconds of silence before the song starts, since I don't quite know how to edit very well yet.

    Happy Easter everyone!

    :)

****No, I didn't come up with the main acoustic melody. Just used it as inspiration. Imagine how much better this recording could sound if I actually KNEW what I was doing?! The Amplifire sounds fantastic....IMHO.****

Sounds great to me. Good job! I'm also loving my Amplifire. I record direct into a Presonus 44VSL and then into Sonar Platinum. Sometimes I will use Harrison Mixbus for mixing, sometimes I prefer Sonar and all of it's tools. It would be difficult to find a daw these days that isn't fantastic.

Thanks for the kind words! I'll post some other clips too shortly....fingerstyle, metal, thrash, whatever I can do to show that the Amplifire can make great tones for any genre.

Plus, for my first few soundclips, I don't wanna scare everyone away with my Guitar Center-esque wankery.....that will come later. :)
