I have a Line 6 UX-8 that I'd really like to use as an audio interface into some sort of a software-based mixer that I can use for live sound mixing. Anyone tried something like this and had luck with it? What software is out there that can accomplish this?

    Thanks!

Try SAC, Software Audio Console. I've never used it, but it has a good reputation.

Thanks. I've also been watching a few videos on using Reaper for this and, since I have it, will give it a shot. I did find SAC and it looks interesting.

I think you will end up disappointed. For live mixing there's just no replacement for an easy to grab knob or fader. Plus you're introducing all kinds of computer caused problems like latency, drop outs, computer crashes or other bugs into a system that;s plugged in to real power and can do real damage. I think this is a terrible idea. Get a digital mixer like the Studio Live and you can have the best of both worlds and ditch that crappy interface as well.
