would anybody have particular recommendation for buying a Strat loaded pickguard with nice pups? Didn't know if anybody out there was building them with Fralin or Mare pickups already installed? thanks for any suggestions or help...

Tom at TFN Technologies is very good at this, offers some great mods, has very reasonable pricing, is very knowledgeable and an excellent guy to work with.

Plus he's not locked into anything...you name it and he can put it together.

I can't recommend anyone more highly!!

Thanks for the TFN tip. I sent him an e-mail but looks like he's pretty swamped at the moment from his website... (not sure how long his timeframe is these days- might be awhile I fear).

Sorry, it's been awhile since I bought mine...looks like things have taken off for him. I understand why...he really is good at what he does.

If you can afford the wait (I wonder if he has an estimate) it will be worth it!!

    +1

Acme sells what you're talking about. I've spoken with the owner and a few others at Acme and they're good people.

    Check these guys out.

    http://metalshopmusic.com/metalshopmusicscustomstratloadedpickguards.aspx

I bought an EMG loaded guard off of them and got a great deal and great service. They are in my neck of the woods and I have been to their shop which is pretty nice and spoken to the owner on the phone a few times. Nice folks. They opened up on a weekend to meet me to pick up the guard after I bought it on ebay and relized they were right down the street.

    Here is their ebay store

    Highly recommended.
