Lollar P90's 50 wind in Epiphone Casino = Wow!

I have an early 2000's Epiphone Casino that I really like. Its light, plays really easily and really fun to play. However, the tone plugged in through an amp was pretty murky. I had a suspicion that the stock P90s were pretty hot and contributing to the mud. I could tell the guitar had potential - the unplugged tone was light and airy.

On a whim I bought a set of the Lollar 50's wind P90s and the guitar is transformed for the better. The plugged in tone has much more clarity but still a thick, classic p90 tone. I did order the shims to help get the pickup height correct and I did wind up needing them to get it dialed in. I couldn't be happier with these pickups!

I had some Lollar 50's wind installed in my Fano recently too and they're absolutely amazing!

Very interested, would love an upgrade for my Casino's stock PUs.

Such a shame more people don't offer the chrome pickup casing for dog-ear p90s. Love the look of the stock chrome PUs and don't want to payout for a casing-switch on-top of the PU cost.

I have a Lollar P90 in the neck of a Tele Deluxe caster and it is really great. Now I want to to put one in the Bridge position too.

Nice story! The pickups made a nice guitar even better!
