I am going to buy a Fender American Standard Strat soon. I want to install some pickups that will give me a smooth, warm, thick tone. I also love midrange. I've narrowed it down to these two pickups. Both look awesome for my needs. I have never played either though. What do you think? Which is better for my needs and how do these pickups differ from eachother? Thanks!

Had the blues specials in a mexi with bass plate and blender pot. Great sounding pups. But I went with the split blades on a classic vibe strat with blender pot and they really out shine the blues specials as far as clarity, definition and bottom end.

I haven't played the Fralins, but you're on the right track...the Lollars sound as described.

Alright, thanks. Both look very good. Has anyone tried both or know more about them?
