Lollar Special T question

The biggest complaint I read against Lollar Special T pickups is that Teles don't quite twang like they should with them installed. I'm okay with that... But can they still chime? Or is that more the result of an EL84 amp than the Tele itself?

The Special T pickups still chime and Twang in my CIJ Tele Custom. I slightly prefer the Vintage T Lollars, but the Specials are terrific pickups.

The best way I can describe a Lollar Special T, is that it's like your volume knob goes to 11. Full up, you have a little extra oomph on tap. Rolling your volume back to 9-ish sounds like a vintage tele pickup.

It's a perfect Tele pickup in my opinion. Twang and chime up the wahzoo.

My k-line Tele through my DC30 sounds otherworldly! !!!

Go Special T for the bridge and vintage T for the neck. Twang, balls and bite a plenty.

Special T's are my favorite Tele set as well. Both neck and bridge.

Lower it down just a hair also helps thin it out. Doesn't take much.
