    That is so cool.

I was playing my El Vaquero this weekend at home along to some AC/DC, Black Crowes, ZZ Top, Stones, etc. Amazing how well the amp straddles that tweed/Marshall/Dumble line. Huge cleans, then juice it up and it's super touch sensitive sustainy Marshall-meets-Dumble. To quote my wife as she poked her head in the door, "That's the stuff right there."

Not sure how an amp can be warm yet cutting, smooth yet raw, and various other opposing ideas. So good. I think I need a Texas Tru Tone as well.

Haha, Almost everyone that has bought a Longhorn amp has come back for a second (or third). This one will be at Oz's (Austin Guitar House) later this week.

We've been married 4 years. I'm not going to fool myself into thinking she's always going to be into my playing, I'm just enjoying it for the time being!

She made me feel great the other day. She passed by the music room and I apologized for being too loud. She told me that she turns the TV off so she can hear me play! I got a good one.

JT, the Chicken Soup is what I use with both my Longhorns! Sounds good.

    Gat,
Have you had any experience with the Colby DTB50? I'm really interested in the Longhorn TTT but just ran across the Colby and am curious how they might compare. They are at similar price points.
    Thx,
    neal

No, I haven't played a Colby. Wish I could try one, but it would mean buying it!

I don't get the whole "no, you should turn your reverb off when you play with gain" thing. What? Can someone enlighten me please?
