One in stock at custom-sounds last monday, snagged it, came home after work yesterday, and what do you know...

I pretty much had to sell a kidney and half a lung, but it was totally worth it.

I'm completely new to BJF and must say that this is really one impressive fuzz.

Haven't had much time to sit down with it, but man, the dynamics of this thing are incredible. If you're looking for touch sensitivity, a fuzz that doesn't sound flabby, and an overall versatile fuzz/OD, then look no further.

Edit: I subscribe to the idea that tone comes from the AMP and that pedals should just be extensions of your amps original tone, and this pedal is exactly like that. It fits in sooo smoothly. It's quite remarkable. I'd love to check out a Sea Blue EQ.

Question: How exactly does the "Nature" work. I understand what it does, but what is it exactly?

    Clips to come later!

    Hi

    Nature control works like this:
Turn to the right for more bottom, turn to the right for less highs.
    Some like this:
Turn nature slowly from cw and listen for treble to just release

Check also Fuzz on ccw and turn slowly until onset of fuzz
These are two not alltogether obvious settings and may not be in the manual.

PPF was temporarily taken outof production a short while as a part supplier retired.
PPF's are in production and included in most of the recent batches.

    Thank you and have fun

    Thanks BJ!
Maybe I should've specified my question, does the "nature" knob work more like a filter/cut/boost or more like a tone control? (Is that redundant?)

It sort of changes the EQ and apparant distortion together so it rolls thru fuzzes, distortions and even OD tones and then you can roll the fuzz knob down and get some very versatile tones -- a big suprise is the fuzz most of t he way down and the nature on the 'afternoon' setting very nice light drive that you dont find on most 'fuzz' pedals

Nice bro! Yeah I love all my BJF fuzzes (CAF,FF3.5%,PPF)
Each has it's own voice and really don't overlap.
I always thought the PPF Nature Knob was Basicaly CCW more Fuzz like and CC more OD like.

That PPF is beautiful! Looking forward to the clips.

    Craise (or anyone who knows),

I've read the CAF is more aggressive than the PPF. How do the Folk Fuzz and the "R" fit into the BJF fuzz family? I know writing about sound is kinda like dancing about architecture but would you try?

    Thanks!

Well one way to think of the BJF Fuzzes is if you took all the good fuzz sounds and put the crazy ones to one side and the sane ones to the other the CAF would cover the crazy ones (Octaves,Gated, synthy,) and the PPF would be the rest (Drive,Distortion, regular) the Folk Fuzz is 'looser' and more organic regular fuzz than the PPF and is just fun to play.....

the Model R is a mid tweeked Distortion, not really a fuzz....

heres a couple videos of BJ and Tomo exploring the CAF....
