I recently bread boarded what i believe to be an OCD (for the most part).

Great Dynamics, Character and Gain Range. At little iffy on the Tone Control but again, this isn't a real one, but its essentially an OCD.

Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions of Overdrive/Distortion Pedals with similar Gain Range of the OCD, but with different structure or character to the dirt? Like the difference between a Vox, a Marshall and a Bad Cat.

I guess I'm looking for differences in the clipping type and overall eq curve (not just the mid-emphasis). Something different. Please don't mention TS Clones or unobtainables. Budget is under $200, but thats really just to cut off the super expensive. If i can find a schematic i can make it.

    Any help?

My Main OD is a Diamond J-Drive (I have the first version),

I would describe it but I would just being using the same words that could describe about 1000 other pedals. Two cool features though that might set it apart are an independent Boost which is actually really good and the first version which I have has a toggle to get a slightly compressed sound or a loose more open sound.

I love it and its been with me for a long time now which I can't say for a lot of other pedals and ODs
