Can someone recommend a nice gig bag for carrying around Strat type guitars not made in China? Seriously, would prefer to pick up one made in the USA or our brothers and sisters from the North. Would prefer one of those "over the shoulder" bags with plenty of extra space for strings, picks, string winders, etc. Thanks!

    Well made..lots of pocket space...strong handles/ zips...well padded.
I've got 3 of em', the oldest is 8 years. They get lots of use... still100%.
The last one I purchased was around $100.00, worth the price..IMHO
Here is a link..you need Flash player to view products??!!
I have the CMT 20.. and a couple of the CMH 18's.

I think Susan at Studio Slips does custom gig bags to order.

I ran across these on some blog awhile back and bookmarked the site. Looks like a really nice product and they have quite a few models providing varying levels of protection/storage, etc. I haven't been able to find them around here yet so haven't seen them in person...

Great bags and worth every $$$. I've got a few singles and a Dub Bag. I will never use a HSC again for gigs.

If you can't find them in the incase site, try Guitar Center online. They have begun carrying them.

Edit: just checked the GC site and none listed....sorry.

+1 I have one like the one that comes with the John Mayer Strat. I absolutely love it. It holds the guitar, strings, cables, tuner, headphone amp and Smokey amp, a loose-leaf binder full of music, and a couple of stompboxes. I don't think I've used the HS case that came with my Suhr Classic since I purchased it. I'm thinking of getting a Dub Bag to hold both guitars I take to gigs. Very highly recommended

+1 on InCase. I sold my DubBag to Sniper V cos I didn't need it... but it is a great case. There is no argument that InCase makes the best gig bags... whether it fits your budget is another story. At $200, they ain't cheap.

I'd check this out. I founf Access top of the line bag for $30 at music warehouse.
Torres is selling the same bag for $50 plus $25 shipping, and it looks equivalent to the best Levys nylon bags which are around $90.

There is Mooradian in Boston, they were one of the first companies to ever make a gigbag.
