I'm doing a strat build - early 1960's inspired. Going to be very accurate spec wise, besides the huge 4A Flame Maple neck I'm putting on it. I've got Lollar Dirty Blondes in my Nash '57 Reissue Strat that sound great. I'm looking for something similar but a little more 60's voiced (Staggered Poles maybe?). I like a hotter, thicker bridge and super glassy cleans. I usually wire one of the tones to the bridge, the other to the neck/middle. Any recommendations? I'm thinking Lollar Dirty Blackface, Rocketfire Total 60's, or Arcane 61's.

the absolute best value in a set of aftermarket pickups are Bill Lawrence anythings, but the Micros are simply amazing... and if they were twice the cost, they would still be a bargain..

You already have some nice pickups from "around here". Why not go farther afield and email Mick Brierley in Australia? He makes great pickups!

There were some Klein S-1's in The Emporium, which would fit the bill. (Not mine)

Not big like his S1 or a Lollar Special. Nice balanced set.
