looking for an amp palomino vox? etc...

hi guys, i have lots of guitars but no amp!!! i am looking to buy one. i need something for my house and also for rehearsals, i think 30 watts will do? i saw a v30 palomino with separate cabinet, also a v50 palomino, thinking about VOX to. i play dream pop shoegaze indie rock.
any suggestions?

I like the Crate Palomino series, and have a V32 chassis in a customized cabinet. There seems to be a number of those on Ebay at any given time. Mine is much louder than I planned on it being, but that may be due to the 4 Sunn speakers in the cab. I would imagine the V50 might be overkill for home use.

My v3112 is one of my favs, great amp if you can snag one of the made in the U.S.A. versions.

+2 on the Palomino V32(not v50!) or V3112(same amp). This amp never gets "old" for me and is the best constructed Crate Ive seen. Bob

I'd go for the V32 Palomino.

For the money..you can't find anything that comes close.

It's a 30 watt class "A" tube ECC83/12AX7 / EL84 Amp with effects loop,

and clean / dirt channel switch, and reverb.

The way it was designed by Obeid Khan, the final amp is

always under full load...that's why they run hot, and that's

why they sound so good. I've got maybe $400 in mine

I also have a Marshall JMP 800 2187 50 watt and you can't touch

one of those for probably less than 1k..maybe.

The V32 is a great amp for the money...Mine is Made in Viet Nam

but they were originally made in St Louis. I have heard that there is

some difference in quality between the USA models and the MIVN models

but quite honestly, I've checked mine out thoroughly, and I find no

glaring deformities in it's construction or performance.

I believe they come in 3 configurations:

1 X 12 combo, 2 X 12 combo (mine) and separate Head / Speaker Cabs

IMHO...for the money...you can't get a better amp.

I'm very happy with mine.
