I have worn out my Satriani and Vai albums. I am looking for anything from Fusion to Jazz to Rock and Alt. I love Animals As Leaders and Periphery. My favorite jazz guitarists are Pat Martino and Joe Pass. I listen to a ton of music but looking for something to inspire me.

Aristocrats? Govans stuff is inspiring to me, I can't come close to playing any of it, but inspiring!

I haven't listened yet, but I've heard a lot of good things about the new Ron Thal (Bumblefoot) album. Are you looking for stuff like '80's?? If so, Paul Gilbert has released many solo and band albums in the last few years, same with Marty Friedman. A lot of this stuff hasn't gone away, it's just not in popular rotation.

I really like Andy Timmons and find him a very melodic and great all-round player.

I know you asked about guitar centric, and to that I would recommend any Howard Roberts recordings, anything by Lionel Loueke and of course Wes and Metheny. But might I suggest casting a wider net and listen to some music that's NOT guitar centric?

Check out the Jimmy Bruno "Like That" album. Greg Koch "Live on the Radio". Plankton "Humble Colossus". Rock Candy Funk Party "We Want Groove" are all guitar centric and worth checking out.

I'm listening to their album Culture Clash Live. Guthrie is insanely amazing on guitar.
