I'm looking for a second amp so I figured this is the place to ask. In a nutshell this is what I'm looking for........

    1) $1,300 TOPS
    2) 12" combo (might consider 10")
    3) I'm pretty much a 6V6 Fender Tweed/BF kind of guy
    4) It really needs to be able to take my Boss RC3 loop pedal and/or an MP3 player. This is primarily for practice or to take to someone's home and play a little music so it needs to accomodate me here. At the least it will need to have two inputs.
    5) I'm figuring something in the 5 watt area
    6) It's got to love strats (and perhaps a mild OD pedal)...... end of story

I'm pretty much playing blues/rock and am looking for something nice (quality build, quite/low noise) that will be around for a while without giving me trouble. Initially from what little I've seen so far I'm thinking Fender Princeton Reverb or Swart Space Tone Reverb,,,,,, stuff along those lines.

Throw me whatever ideas you've got............. thanks

Sounds like a used Carr Mercury. (might be a bit more than $1300, but not much, and worth it)

A Carr Mercury would be cool but there's only one input, also probably looking at $1,600 for a used (guessing). I'll have to eyeball the Mesa Express.

I forgot to mention that I've been lurking at the Laney Lionheart L5T-112 for some time. Though it is an EL84 I've always been impressed by the videos I've heard of this amp.

I bought the Laney L5T based on this Mike Garvey video, it turned out better then I was hoping for!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5e_4NVoZp1U

Takes pedals well, 2 channels, reverb, line out for 4,8 or 16 ohm. I own a bunch of Fenders from 1953 on up through the years. The Laney is now my go to amp at home.

I have no stakes in the Laney Co., I bought this amp after listening to this video, and my expectations were more then met! Now how often does that happen?

    Kind Regards,
    Steve

Might want to look at the 5E3 at 12 watts. This would be more useful and fill the needs you stated.

Swart Space Tone Reverb. 5 Watts with 12" speaker. It has a switch to go from tweed champ type gain/feel to a juicier OD sound. Lots of great clips on the Swart site. I will warn you is it is often the gateway amp to more Swarts!

Used Morgan PR12 w/ power scaling would work. I got mine for <1300.

I get the feeling I may be asking too much of one amp. I may well just go this route. I would be all over the Swart STR but the clips I've heard on youtube didn't sound all that great to me. Couldn't get the ones on their website to work.

The amps on the jedistar site that I liked were very hard to find (can't get one if I can't buy one). That or else the mfg's website gave little detail about the amp.

No reverb, not 6V6...BUT it's a great 5 W hand-made combo: the Bad Cat Mini. Comes in 1x10 and 1x12 versions. Amazing dynamics and feel.

My Victoria 5112 is on my "never sell" list - just an all around great amp. I did change the Legend speaker for a JBL D123 (reconed to 8 ohms).
Set the volume control to ~3/4 and prepare to smile - with a Telecaster = heaven.

You should hear the 5112 with an NOS Brimar 'coke bottle' 6V6! Oh man!!!!

    +1 for the 5112 + Telecaster = heaven

I like the Express 5:25 if you're into EL 84's.

You suggest a Princeton, but that's a bit more than than 5 watts you spec.

Swart is a nice amp, considered one myself.

I don't know how soon you need to buy, but I understand there is a Dr Z Maz8 coming soon. As suggested it is an 8 watt amp in the style of the Maz18, which I have. May actually get one myself when they come out! It should have a 10" or 12" speaker, full-featured, which if it is like mine, has reverb, high-mid-low controls and a cut knob that tweaks the tonestack.

Built like a tank, and should easily be able to stand up to anything you have planned! It will likley be available in a head version, so you can add whatever speaker you want.

I can suggest a GREAT amp, but if fails your list on two counts. No reverb (try a WET pedal) and is a bit $$$ - but you get what you pay for:
