On the search for a real good one. Preferably in a smaller size - like Mxr sized if possible.
I've been wanting to try one of these forever.
MI Audio Crunchbox
I use a Catelinbread Dirty little secret for all my Marshall tones, the Crunchbox is a good one too, I have them both.
DLS III is good
The new Plexi Drive Deluxe from Wampler should be good too.
It's not MXR size, but Weehbo JCM drive is excellent.
He speaketh the truth.
Best I have heard.
You know, it was his demo video that convinced me to try the original CrunchBox, and I still have that pedal today, love it!
You can modify the ubiquitous Boss DS-1 and coax some JCM / Mesa Boogie high gain tones out of it.
Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret is the most convincing one I've heard. I keep one on my board for when I can't use my Marshalls.
The Crunch Box is the closest thing I've tried to my JCM 800.
JHS Angry Charlie got me close to a hot-rodded JCM 800.
+1'for a DLS
Radial London Bones
Thanks for the great suggestions everyone! I have some listening to do.
Weehbo sounds amazing
