I am planning to reuse this amp that has been collecting dust for a few years.
In reviewing some older threads on these, there have been three discussed modifications.
    1. tubes
    2. speaker
    3. output transformer
Is there an order which I should try swapping parts out? I am not using the reverb on this amp as I am happy with my pedals. This amp tends to be a bit "hot" so I am thinking a 12AT7 may be a good start.
What would replacing the output transformer do for this amp?

Not as far as I can tell. It does sound microphonic at times however.

My friend has a celestion classic lead 80 speaker in it, sounds great, better than the stock.

What speakers are you considering for your v16?

Figure out the sound you are going for and pick up an appropriate speaker. Buy used and flip it if you don't like it.
