Right. And in 5 years, THESE Historics will get even more accurate and more expensive. They'll be even more True than the originals were!

    Effing stupid.

I can't afford these. Frankly, I couldn't afford the prior historic RI's either. Luckily for me, I was able to snag a VOS Special and a VOS Junior as they were more affordable. I'd love to have one of these 58's or 59's, but at those prices, it isn't going to happen.

    But, I'll live.....

They're too expensive and they're too heavy. No.

Very tempting, but I'm waiting for next year's "Authentic True Historic" which is even more truly historic than this year's true historic.

Even the COA has a COA!

Waiting for the Historic Reissues, which will be reissues of the original Historics and everything they got wrong the first time. You know, nostalgia and all that.

Yup. When a guitar costs as much as a downpayment on a car or a couple of months of your mortgage then they are priced too high for most people.

    BTW - I've got a 2001 '59 RI. I think I paid $2400.00 new from Dave's.

Yeah, those prices are a weeny shrinker for sure! :)

I am far more interested in those "Special Run" Gretsch Penguins! At $3,599 they are a clear "bargain!"

I don't really like my ES-175 at the moment but I think I better just keep it. I don't know if I will be able to (want to) afford American Gibson guitars in the future! :(

My 2009 Standard is all the LP I need, of course I changed EVERYTHING except the wood! LOL! (I fell in love with that asymmetrical neck, I don't even know if they do those anymore.)
